The Anambra State Police Command has deployed 60 “Safe School” operatives across designated centres to monitor the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board examinations scheduled to hold from April 15 to 26, 2026.
In a press statement released on Tuesday, the Spokesman for the Anambra State Police Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said the deployment is to ensure safety, security, and orderliness throughout the exercise.
Ikenga said the deployment with the operational base located in the respective eight Police Area Command in the state is coordinated by the Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, ACP Harrison Oruruo.
According to him, the deployment forms part of the Command’s proactive measures under the “Safe School” Initiative aimed at providing a secure environment for candidates, invigilators, and examination officials, while preventing any form of malpractice, disruption, or security breach. Punch
