Woman found dead in Plateau river

Residents of the Bukuru Lowcost community in the Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State were thrown into mourning and shock on Tuesday following the discovery of a woman’s corpse in a river in the area.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the discovery was made by residents who gathered at the riverbank, expressing shock and disbelief over the incident.

A video circulating online showed concerned residents pulling the woman’s corpse out of the river.

One of the residents, Tina Gabriel, who spoke to our correspondent, suggested that the deceased might have been murdered by unknown persons and dumped in the river. Punch
