Gunmen kill pastor in Adamawa

Gunmen have killed a pastor, Emmanuel Ezeoikwe, in Zinal village, Song Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday at the victim’s residence.

Confirming the killing in a statement on Thursday, the spokesperson for the Adamawa State Police Command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, said the attack was reported to the police at about 6:30 am.

“On the 21st of April, 2026, at about 6:30 am, the Command received a report… that at about 12:48 am of the same date, suspected gunmen invaded the village and shot the victim.

“Upon receipt of the report, police operatives of the Command swiftly moved to the scene, where they found the lifeless body of the victim and rushed him to a hospital. Punch
