Two Nigerians arrested in India over drugs, face deportation

Indian authorities have arrested two Nigerians for overstaying and involvement in drug-related activities in Tolichowki, a suburb of Hyderabad in India.

The Nigerians, Aful Clement, 29, and Lazarus Favour, 19, were nabbed by the Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing on Wednesday and may be deported to Nigeria.

According to Metro India, Clement entered India on a business visa and was previously arrested in a 2022 cheating case by Chandigarh police, and was jailed for six months.

After his release, he stayed in Delhi without any legal employment and has overstayed his visa, which expired in 2019. Punch
