Three dead, homes burnt in Zamfara bandit raid

Gunmen have killed three people and set several houses and silos ablaze in Dangoro village, Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

The spokesperson for the state police command, Yazid Abubakar, disclosed this in a statement issued on Monday.

He said the attack occurred on March 28, 2026, at about 10:30pm, when a group of armed bandits wielding AK-47 rifles attacked Dangoro village via Nahuche District.

According to Abubakar, the assailants invaded the community, shooting sporadically and setting houses and silos on fire. Punch
