Tears as five policemen killed in Bauchi ambush buried

The five police officers who were brutally killed in an ambush by suspected gunmen in Sabon Sara village, Darazo Local Government Area of Bauchi State, were laid to rest on Monday.

The spokesperson for the State Police Command, Ahmed Wakil, confirmed the development in a statement sent to PUNCH Metro.

In an earlier statement released on Sunday, the command identified the fallen officers as DSP Ahmad Muhammad (SID), ASP Mustapha Muhammad (10 PMF), Inspector Amarhel Yunusa (10 PMF), Inspector Idris Ahmed (10 PMF), and Corporal Isah Muazu (AKU).

Wakil had also confirmed the deaths of the officers who, in his words, “paid the supreme price” during the ambush, which also left two other officers, Inspector Isah Musa (SID) and Inspector Yusuf Gambo, with varying degrees of injuries. Punch
