Pastor arrested for defiling minor in Nasarawa 

Police operatives attached to Karshi Divisional Headquarters have arrested one Pastor Asonye Isaiah, 37, of Rock of Love and Adoration Ground, Old Karshi, Abuja, for allegedly defiling a 16-year-old girl in Nasarawa State.

This was contained in a statement made available to journalists on Sunday in Lafia, the state capital, by the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ramhan Nansel.

According to him, the arrest followed a complaint lodged at the Division on April 18, 2026, at about 20:00 hrs.

The PPRO explained that preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect deceived the victim’s aunt, claiming her niece was “possessed” and required cleansing at a river. Punch
