Imo: Gunmen rob, kill PoS operator

Gunmen on Sunday robbed and shot dead a Point-of-Sale operator, identified simply as Daniel, near the Everyday Supermarket in the World Bank area of Owerri, the Imo State capital.

Daniel, an indigene of Ndegwu in the Orogwe community, Owerri West Local Government Area of the state, was attacked at his business location on Sunday evening.

A source said the victim, who was reportedly the only son of his family, had previously been robbed and was still recovering from the financial loss before the latest incident that claimed his life.

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Daniel was accosted by the gunmen who demanded his money bag and shot him when he resisted, after which they fled with the cash. Punch
