Ebonyi varsity SUG election: One shot, three arrested

Ebonyi State Police Command has arrested three suspects in connection with an attempt to disrupt the announcement of results during the Student Union Government election at the Ebonyi State University.

The incident occurred while the election results were being announced, and the suspects allegedly fired gunshots to disperse the crowd.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Joshua Ukandu, said this in a statement on Tuesday.

“Unfortunately, the bullet struck a student, who was immediately rushed to Alex Ekwueme Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki, for medical attention. Punch
