Again, motorists stuck as multiple collisions ground Lagos–Ibadan Expressway

The crashes caused heavy gridlock, stretching from outward Lagos to the Secretariat area within the state.
Our correspondents observed some travellers abandoning their vehicles and turning back, while others disembarked and walked to continue their journeys.
“We saw injured people laid at the back of a pick-up truck. Some of them appeared lifeless. There were about three people in the truck who looked like they might have been dead.
“Others, around four or five, were being loaded into the truck. I’m not sure if they were picking people up along the way, but they were moving them quickly toward Lagos,” a commuter identified as Ola told PUNCH Metro.
Another commuter, identified only as Dele, said, “A truck carrying bags of flour fell over. I’m not sure if it caused the accident, but the flour spilt, and people were picking it up. There was also a Mazda that tumbled, breaking its windscreen. Punch
