AFCON: Obi hails Super Eagles after 2–0 win over Algeria

Former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has praised the Super Eagles following their 2–0 victory over Algeria in the quarter-final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Marrakech, Morocco.

PUNCH Online had earlier reported that the Super Eagles booked a place in the semi-finals with a convincing win over Algeria at the Stade de Marrakech.

The victory sets up a last-four showdown against tournament hosts Morocco, who defeated Cameroon in their own quarter-final clash.
