Abaribe defects from APGA to ADC

The senator representing Abia South Senatorial Zone, Eyinnaya Abaribe, has formally resigned from the All Progressives Grand Alliance and defected to the African Democratic Congress.

Abaribe announced his defection on Wednesday at the Nike Lake Resort, Enugu, alongside former Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, Mr Peter Obi, who also formally joined the ADC.

The lawmaker had joined APGA in 2023 after leaving his previous party to contest the Abia South senatorial seat.
