AAC rejects Anambra election results, alleges malpractices

The African Action Congress has rejected the conduct and the declared results of Saturday, November 8, 2025, Anambra State governorship over alleged malpractices and electoral breaches, calling for a comprehensive, transparent investigation by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

The governorship candidate of the African Action Congress, Chioma Ifemeludike, had also criticised the conduct of the poll, alleging that there was widespread vote buying.

In a press statement issued on Wednesday, the Campaign Publicity Secretary, AAC, Chimezie Nwokeanochie, said observations, as well as credible reports received from party agents and independent monitors across the state, indicated that the process was marred by widespread irregularities, vote buying and violations of established electoral procedures.

Nwokeanochie, therefore, called on INEC and other relevant authorities to address these serious concerns and uphold the sanctity of the electoral process. Punch
